Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. (CED) is seeking a dependable, skilled, Desktop Support Specialist for their IT Infrastructure Group, located in Irving, TX. This position is responsible for providing outstanding technical support at CED's Service Center locations. Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience in related areas, have superior people skills, and will display a passion for excellent customer service.
+ Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment providing onsite and remote technical support to CED's Service Center employees for: computer workstations, printers, client-side networking, peripherals, email, conference room A/V, and security systems.
+ Perform computer imaging and configuration.
+ Provide technical support related to onboarding / offboarding employees including hardware deployment or collections, initial end-user walkthroughs, and account activations and deactivations.
+ Communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable manner.
+ Organize and prioritize workloads using state-of-the-art ticketing systems.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent
+ Two plus years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and repairing computers and applications in a domain environment
+ Possess a passion for providing excellent customer service
+ Skilled with security defenses such as anti-v, anti-malware, and hard drive encryption
+ Experience with AD domain administration is a plus
+ Confidence to interact with a wide range of people from clerical staff, network specialists, developers, senior management, and vendors
